NELEX Mineral Insulated Cable

NELEX heaters are mineral-insulated series conductor cables with temperature and power ratings up to 1100°F and 70 watts/foot. Nelex heaters are used for high temperature exposure applications and installations requiring high power output.

Alloy 825 sheath provides excellent corrosion resistance and immunity from chloride stress corrosion - a common problem with stainless steel.

Nelex can withstand exposure temperatures up to 1100°F. Exposure temperatures can be increased to 1400°F with special components.

Nelex is available in a variety of voltages to match the available power supply.

Nelex has heat output ratings up to 10 times higher than most other cables, reducing the amount of cable required.

Type "B" DUAL Conductor MI Cable

Nelson Type "B" mineral insulated cable is a .1875 inch (7.94 mm) diameter metal sheathed cable that uses DUAL metallic conductors as the heating element. The conductors are electrically insulated from the metal sheath with magnesium oxide (MgO).

Outer sheath construction is Alloy 825, a high temperature corrosion resistant alloy with superior flexibility. A unique manufacturing process provides for a thin wall construction which improves flexibility and ease of installation. This process also allows the use of high performance alloy conductors for high temperature applications.

Nelson Nelex Type "K" mineral insulated cable is a .1875 inch (4.76 mm) diameter metal sheathed cable that uses a SINGLE metallic conductor as the heating element. The conductor is electrically insulated from the metal sheath with magnesium oxide (MgO).​

Outer sheath construction is Alloy 825, a high temperature corrosion resistant alloy with superior flexibility. A unique manufacturing process provides for a thin wall construction which improves flexibility and ease of installation. This process also allows the use of high performance alloy conductors for high temperature applications.
